[Music], hey everyone and welcome to the club, today i'll be showing you how to draw, the iron giant, [Music], let's move up to the center of a page, and draw on two circles for the eyes i'm, gonna start on the left side sorry for, the top, now leave a large gap in the center and, do the same thing on the right so let's, line up the top of the eye, [Music], now let's move to the center of the head, and draw on the fin so starting from the, top of the head draw a straight line, coming down the middle, to right about here, now from the top we're going to curve, out and then down, [Music], now from the ends we're going to draw, two straight angle lines coming down, towards the bottom, [Music], now let's draw on the top of the head, from this point we go straight across, round out the corner of the head and, come down just beside the eye, so start with that short line coming, across, let's do that on both sides, just to balance us out, now from the end we're going to round, this out, and we're going to come straight down, just below the bottom edge of the eye, let's do the same thing on the right, [Music], now we're going to overlap these two, points with a straight line going across, for the mouth so let's start on the left, side going out, start by going straight across, and just overlapping on the right side, from the ends of these lines we're going, to curve down and then in and straight, across in towards the bottom of the chin, so starting left side will curve down, and start to pull that in we're gonna go, straight across, [Music], now i'm gonna stop right here i'm gonna, do the same thing on the right side, coming down, curving that in we're just gonna connect, these two points together, [Music], now we draw two straight lines on the, lower jaw so directly in the center of, the eye draw a straight line coming down, on both sides, now we're going to extend the hinge of, the jaw so from this point here we go, straight up alongside the head to right, about here, and pull that in with a straight line, we'll do the same thing on the right, up, towards the same height as we have on, the left, and just cap it off with a straight line, we'll add the little hinge bolt, from this corner i'm going to step down, curve out, and then pull that in, all right so now we got the head let's, work our way down the body i'm gonna, start with the neck first so on the left, side of the center i'm gonna curve down, and then back up on the right side now, from this point here we step out draw a, short line coming down on either side, now we're going to angle down and in, and then we'll close off the bottom with, a straight line, let's trim this out along the outside so, we step out, and just leave an even space gap, all the way around, [Music], let's add some vertical lines along the, collar so starting in the center we draw, a straight line now i'm going to work, our way towards the left leaving even, space gap, all the way across, and we'll do the same thing along the, right, [Music], now from the top corner of the collar, we're going to draw two short lines, going out towards the side of the chest, and we're going to angle up and in, towards this top corner of the collar, [Music], now from these points i draw two, straight lines coming down the side of, the chest, the same height, now in the middle underneath the collar, and draw a short line to split the chest, let's connect these two points with a, straight angled line, and do the same thing along the right, side, and create a bevel along the bottom of, the chest so from the corners draw an, angle line coming in, and we're going to pull this up with a, straight line towards the center, [Music], at the bottom of the chest we're gonna, draw two short lines coming down, [Music], now we're gonna work our way back in, towards the middle so let's start with a, short line coming in on either side, i'm gonna go up with a short line, i'm going to connect these two points, with a curve going up in the middle, now i'm going to tuck the lower torso in, underneath the body so about halfway, along this line we draw a short line, coming down on either side, now we want to round out the body so, from these two points we're going to, connect it with a curve coming down, and then back up we take that same curve, and just duplicate it along the top, stepping up, go up again, and then one final time, [Music], now the bottom we're going to step in, and draw two more shorter lines, and connect those two points with, another curve, now before i continue with the legs i, want to add some rivets in the chest, area so from the top corners and draw, two small circles, and then the bottom corner, and then on the inside just beside the, center seam, and add a couple rivets along the lower, rib cage, so on the left and right, i'm going to add two along the top one, on the left, and one on the right, [Music], now let's move down and draw on the hip, from the center we're going to start on, the left side draw a straight line, on either side, and draw a straight line across the, bottom, add two vertical lines along the inside, [Music], now i'm going to draw the bar going out, towards the hip, so from the bottom corner and step up, straight across towards the left, and then the right, now we step up to the top and draw that, same length line, [Music], now let's cap off the ends with a curve, going out and back in, on the ends of the hip i want to draw on, the wheel so in behind the end here, we'll draw an oval starting on the, inside we'll go up, come around to the bottom, and then back up we do the same thing on, the right side stepping in, up to the top, down, and then back up, now let's draw the front face of the, wheel, from the top we draw a straight line, coming out on either side top and, bottom we're just going to follow that, same curve along the outside connecting, the top, towards the bottom, let's add a little detail to the hip, from the top of the wheel we're going to, step down draw a short line coming out, on either side, now from here on the curve down and then, in behind the wheel, down and in, now let's continue down with the legs so, at the bottom here on the outside we'll, draw a short straight line coming down, from the inside we'll draw a short line, we'll do the same thing on the right, [Music], now we'll cap off the bottom with a, curve, and down back up, [Music], now from the inside corner i'm going to, draw the inside of the leg coming in and, then down towards the heel do the same, thing on the right, now let's round out the bottom of the, feet so from heel to toe crimp down, and back up, and then from the toe we're going to, round out the top of the foot so on the, left side i want to curve up, i'm going to curve this down aiming, towards the heel we're going to stop, right about there, up, stopping there, now from the outside leg i'm gonna curve, out and down on top of the foot, let's add the trim for the sole so we, take this curve and just duplicate it, right up above, [Music], i'm gonna move back up and draw on the, arms we'll start with the shoulders, first so about halfway along this angled, line and draw a straight line coming out, towards the edge of the shoulder, [Music], now i'm going to curve this back in, towards the side of the chest coming, down, and then in, [Music], now i'm going to tuck a half circle in, behind the shoulder so we step down from, here we're going to curve around, and then pull that back in towards the, side of the chest we'll do the same, thing on the right stepping down, come around, and back in, now we're going to angle the arms going, outwards this way so from the bottom of, this half circle we've got two, angle lines of equal length coming down, do the same thing on the right, [Music], we're going to close off the bottom with, the curve from left to right, now we're going to draw on some large, forearms, from this point in the inside of the arm, and step up, curve in, and then down now on the outside we're, going to go in the opposite direction so, on the outside going out, and down we'll connect these two points, with a curve, [Music], let's do the same thing on the right, stepping up from the elbow, [Music], and then on the outside, now let's connect these two points with, a curve, i'm going to tuck the hands in, underneath the wrist, from this point i'm going to step in, draw a small half circle for the thumb, at the end of the thumb i'll draw a, little bracket, at the bottom of the thumb and swirl, around the bracket and go up, and draw two more fingers along the side, when step down, come around and up, and then one final time underneath the, cuff now let's do the same thing on the, right stepping in, start with a small half circle, then a bracket, at the bottom of the thumb we'll go, around the bracket and go up, step down, and then one final time, in behind the cuff and that's pretty, much it
