hi guys welcome back to my channel it's, me karen, and today i'm going to do a picture in, this book here, the wild soul coloring book by, and i'm not sure how to pronounce her, name grazia, or grazia silva, and i of course i'm going to color the, lion because, lion is cool i brought out my light fast, to color it, in and some luminance to go with it, and a derwent color soft one, also just because i want uh brown tones, on the mayan i might bring in some, distress ink i'm just not sure yet, and i really want the book to lay, flatter but i don't think it's going to, i won't even think if i bend it the, other way, being hard back at all okay so we're, going to start off with the lightest, shade, i'm going to put in um, wheat is what this is called and we're, going to start down here on his, little mouth i want to see how these, pencils work in this book, um the paper is smooth with a little bit, of tooth on it, so i thought i'd break out these pretty, pencils, i haven't used them in a while and i, want to, try them out in here, for some reason i think this book, deserves, really nice pencils so, just gonna go in here with them and, color and have fun, [Music], so how are you all doing today, i hope you're all well, so he has a really light, chin and kind of just right here in this, area, and then it blends into a darker brown, going up with a little bit of hair, coming up and, out on other areas so, we're just going to put in all the light, areas, that we can find here, both sides, and remembering that we do have hair, so we have to kind of do it in the lines, here, it kind of goes up and around his nose, and i think he has a lightness around in, his eyes, too so we're going to go up and get that, taken care of before i forget, it kind of comes down here, a little bit up in this area, okay he's a little bit around his nose, here and then this kind of area is, darker, and then it comes up into a lighter, area right around where his eye would, come down, and then darken's going up with some, light, in here and it's kind of like almost, striped with lightness, and i have to remember to do the same, thing on the other side, this is this shadow this would be, lighter, and then right across here, we would have some light the hairs, coming up, okay forehead, a little bit of light here and this hair, kind of goes, up and then this way, so put some in the gray there and then, just kind of bring it, up into the hairline, a little bit more over on that side, and then we'll just put some in these, areas that we have, a lighter, contrast here, and go over it with other colors, okay, this side of the face probably is going, to be a little darker, just because we need one side of the, face dark this is the focal point so, dark on this side dark on that side, pull some of that up in the whiskers, there, okay so that is our lightest color we, have this one which is kind of a golden, yellow color it's called champagne, i brought in one that's a little darker, brown, [Music], this one is a brown ochre, and then i have some orangey reds in, here also, and then a very light um, almost white one that will bring in, so we're bringing in the second kind of, yellow, shade here, and this one is the champagne, so we're gonna add some of that in, and just start darkening up some areas, i mean it's not going to darken it up, quite yet but you know, a little bit, maybe a little up in here, my hair kind of comes out that way, see comes up on the nose, just going to bring this color down and, up it kind of comes to a point here, okay, his nose is going to be a dark dark dark, brown with a little bit of black in it, and i didn't bring out in blacks but, we'll get to that think of another color, to bring, in if i want to bring in this one the, brown ochre, i'm hoping you can see all this and i'm, just not going all over the place, bring this chin down a little there we, go, i should sharpen that just a touch, so, so, we're just going to bring that out, a little bit from these shadowed areas, uh, [Music], oh, uh, i'm just gonna add a bunch of little, hair lines here, we're just starting them so, this one's going to take a while, be, and then down across this little, snout down here, pig, finished, okay a little browner, and we're going to come in with, chestnut and add a little red in here, so, so, sorry concentrating on where i should, put the colors, not talking, i want to get around these little, always gray places, just narrow that gap up a little bit, okay, okay and then that's a little patch of, dark and then, up here is where our little, line starts up here, um, yeah just a little down here, [Music], around the nose, a little of that in the nose, okay we'll probably be going back and, forth in between all those colors, we're going to bring in the pale brown, and this, is a derwent color soft, [Music], so, so, this is kind of a very short haired, area that i'm going to try to make, look like a short-haired area, i might bring in a little bit of, distress ink in there so i don't have to, work so hard and i'm going to pick, gathered twigs which is kind of a nice, soft, color for that area i will get out, a new little ink, pad thing, and we're just going to, scrap piece yeah that'll work, just gonna bring that right in there, in fact while we have it here we're, going to take it in some other areas, so, do, and pull it up here into his forehead, then right into his hairline, okay, that's gonna help me out a lot, so now i can just put in hairlines, instead of, a whole bunch of color okay, so this color is oh cp, red, we're going to add a little of this into, his eye, b, bring that fur down a little bit, okay, okay, [Music], van dyke brown, so, [Music], [Music], so, okay i'm kind of pulling up some of the, hair and then pulling down some of the, hair so it'll, get mixed in in the air, and of course i'm in her hair so we're, going to try to, keep them separate, so, so, okay gotta turn the book here, gotta keep her hair going in the right, direction and i think that lion's coming, down this way but, the hair got to go this way we're gonna, see, [Music], now we got better ink in this book or, something so we're just going to draw, over those, try to lighten them up as much as we can, and just, kind of flick some hair over across to, this area here, um, and then we have long hair up here we, want to make sure we keep these, little and short, if you can turn your pencil, so you always have a sharp edge little, tiny, hairs, like, and, okay okay i'm going to bring in um, browner tones so this is burnt, sienna, bring some of that in, [Music], a little bit of that in the eye too, okay, mmm okay, i'm pretty sure all these hairs go, upward but, sometimes you just gotta go with what's, going on, now her hair comes down along here so in, here is his hair, and down in here, so we have to darken that, okay i'm gonna turn the book again, so that's gonna work on here, short little strokes, i'm going to keep these kind of loose, so we can bring in other colors in here, six, c, so, i think this goes, just a little further there, across the bridge of the nose, okay gonna bring in some, castle earth really nice dark, scratchy color it's a really pretty, color, but it does have a, scratchiness to it, so sorry if you're, i'm not crazy about the scratchiness but, i like the color, brings in a nice depth, hold on okay we're just gonna keep, adding, some dark tones in here, so, just gonna rub that gently in there and, get, the deeper color coming in here, we'll go back in and put more, of the hairlines in a minute, so, that goes lighter and then it goes, really dark in here, so we're gonna darken that up, rip my finger over that, just get that color blended out just a, bit, right up with these areas too, okay right in the center of his nose, here, we have another deeper spot, so we're going to darken that up, and leap around it lighter, don't make it too obvious, it's going to be dark but, then there's some light spots i'm going, to bring in some of this dark, on this side, up here, we have this that comes up we're going, to make it, come out a little further on this side, and i'm going to bring in a little more, of, our ink if there's any left here, i'm just going to rub it in this area, on the nose, there's barely any ink on here that's, why i'm rubbing it on, these areas, barely anything left of that, there we go okay, let's see what other ground did we have, we're going to go back in here with the, van dyke brown, little tiny hairs, foreign, uh, so, just going to get some hairs in there, hardest thing to remember is to make him, small, not a long-haired kitty until if we get, to his mane, okay we get in there, put a little of this down here in this, shadow area, okay the hand's getting a little tired, okay right across the nose bridge here, is also a darker area so i'm going to, sketch that in a little bit, put in some darker hairs, that, mhm, okay now we have the fun part of trying, to lighten up some areas, with some white ish colored i got the, oyster out, i don't think it has any color on the, tip, and so we're going to go through here, and put in light, colors so, little lines here too, we're going to be able to add in some, white, so, um, okay, c, so, uh, uh, laughs, okay you just go through and have it, where you want, um, uh, and if you think it got a little i don't, have a hand there, because you can just go in, with a nice soft color, and lighten it up a little bit on the, jagged side, okay like up here, but you still get your white, coming through and we're just going to, play with this and play with this, until we get the color we like or the, consistency of the hair we like, like right around in this area we're, really white, and the hair kind of goes, out that way and up this way, all sorts of different directions, go in there and lighten up those areas a, bit, so i'm just going in between the white, and the pale brown, so it's a loom light fast and a, drawing pencil, so, so, peppa but, okay, i didn't turn the book this way, gonna try just to bring some of that, up into this area without coloring her, hair up too much, just going over it lightly, same up here we're just going to lightly, go over that, okay, it's a little light for me but we're, getting there we're gonna, finish up his eye and then i'm going to, uh, call it for today let's see, we're going to throw in a little bit of, amber gold in here, and then we're going to add in, a tiny bit of magenta, on top of that, which will make it a kind of a pretty, marigold color, i'm going to keep that pencil out don't, know why i'm putting it away, go back over it with the yellow, we're going to bring out the black, that's here somewhere, midnight mars and, another blue blacks where's black black, kind of a black in here right, dark indigo, do i have it out on my desk i do okay, here we go, black sorry about that, take that pull it down i'm going to go, over that white spot, go around the edge of the eye, i'm going to make that just a bit bigger, much, i'm just going to lightly go over, everything under the lid here and we're, going to darken that lid, okay then we're going to add the, you know i'm going to go over, this part too, which doesn't seem to be the red in, there too, then the gold, here we go and take, the black, the black that i just had here and we're, going to pull some of these, little lines down, we're going to take this and we're going, to cover that up we're going to darken, this eye over here in this corner a, little bit more, blend those around a little bit, okay then we're going to put some public, dots, in here there we go, put one over here, there we go, we'll darken that up a little tiny, little bit over here in the, corner this side too, when they dry we're going to go over, them a little bit make this a little, darker, and we'll do his nose real quick, so, darken it but we want to leave that pink, and the top of his nose, gets pretty dark, so, probably gets a little darker than that, but, i want a little bit pink to show through, so far that is what we have, just gonna take the black and just, touch the top of that shadow, here we go, so so far that's what we have i hope you, guys enjoy, i gotta stop for now um i hope you have, a wonderful day i really appreciate you, guys watching if you have any questions, leave them in the comment section below, i'll list all the pencils that i've used, in the description box and i will see, you in part two, take care everyone bye now, you

This took SO many hours and it isn't even technically the first page... Maybe I should have picked something easier for my first time trying adult coloring, but I've always been ambitious. 0

Totally Outrageous 80s New Wave Adult Coloring Book by Josh Dunbar, colored by me using Ohuhu Markers and Neon Gel Pens! This page is also in the book in greyscale & not greyscale. I stuck with the colors used on the cover to challenge myself. I did the non-greyscale version, I don't like greyscale 5
